CBCFInc, wmata, de Blasio & HFA alum, ManhattanDems County Committee. Was a political flunky & now an Americana music industry flunky. Always an urbanist.
Campus & the fleet were very… different.

The cadre at my NE military college alma mater had such a hard on for the master sergeant in “We Were Soldiers”. We had to have watched it like 4-5 times as “moto/training”. Kids did not understand that being a grizzled NCO meant already serving for 20+ years tho. Battle was also kind of a loss.

I mean, it's what blood looks like in a black & white video.

Time to pour that concrete

Learning about this is somehow worse than I thought it’d be.

Like, intellectually I knew that the internet would produce truly bizarre lore about millennials but this whole thing is much weirder than the Nazi tattoo.

I ran a city council race in Brooklyn with one of those about a decade ago. He was ostensibly a finance guy from an endorser's successful campaign & always wanted to talk "national strategy & messaging".

Bro, get through your calls & we'll talk.

“YIMBY is a political project to lower rents”

Correct me if I’m wrong here but isn’t this an irl example of the “he admit it” meme?

Fash-NIMBY 🤝 left-NIMBY: it's only ever the fault of someone new moving to the neighborhood

This exchange is so deeply silly & required so many more of your own posts to explain that you meant the opposite of your initial response.

Good to know that we're in agreement.

Went someone gets a red light ticket that means they've blown through a red light... which could very lead to killing someone.

Call a spade a fucking spade.
November 13, 2025 at 9:15 PM
"I've just got to break the law because everyone else is" is a sign of your own foolishness, dude.

Can I let you in on a secret? I haven't gotten a ticket in a decade+ thanks to... just driving the speed limit. It's freeing to drive past a cop or a camera & not worry. You'll live, trust me.

Aside from that, & this is the same nonsense that drove me nuts in the lead up to congestion pricing, this is an article about NYC where the overwhelming majority of car-ownership is by the wealthy.

So very many need to stop thinking about your own lived experience as the only lived experience.

The infantilization of poor red-light runners is ridiculous.
November 13, 2025 at 8:51 PM
So you're cool with (attempted) involuntary manslaughter as long it's committed by the economically disadvantaged?
November 13, 2025 at 8:39 PM
nowadays many places set speed limits artificially low *because lower speeds are safer in collisions* just so they can be enforced. that unfortunately makes most people speeders! *so you'll just continue to put others in danger for your own convenience?*

What the fuck is it with antisocial drivers?
November 13, 2025 at 8:35 PM
"do you expect me to chase them down on foot?" To which I replied, "bro, you have a radio" as a patrol car came down the street in the other direction. Absolute nonsense loser behavior. 2/2

There was a half-marathon in our neighborhood a monthish back so NYPD had traffic cops at the corners to direct traffic. As I was about to cross with the walk signal an SUV from NJ blew through the light. I ask the cop on the opposite corner if he was going to do anything & he said 1/2
