Meanwhile, a game like Papers Please could only be experienced by playing it. Because you can't appreciate the story if you don't feel experience the gameplay yourself.

For example, the story of every Playstation exclusive I've played would have been the same experience if I had watched it on YouTube. I would miss out on the gameplay, but I can still say I've experienced the story.

There are games with stories and characters that you can understand even if you didn't actually press the button to make the guy hit the other guy during the parts where they fight.
