Growing up in the '90s, particularly the early '90s AIDS awareness was everywhere. Even as a kid Nickelodeon had commercials so it feels weird for they're not to be an acknowledgment of world aids day. Even with the advancement in medicine like prep and pep there still needs to be more awareness.

This country does not do well with collective mourning or acknowledging death by contagious illness. You probably never heard of the pandemic of 1918, if you're under 35 you probably never seen the AIDS quilt and the fact that we've never had a national acknowledgment of the people who died of COVID

I’m struggling at this point in my loc journey. The temptation to cut them off or comb them out has been HEAVY on me.

Growing them has been extremely personal. Deeply rewarding. I stayed committed to something for over 2 years. I’m proud of myself.

I need to make it through this.

This is my last weekend on 3rd shift. This past year and some change has been a challenge, but I made it.

I’m looking forward to being on a normal schedule again.
