A reminder that this anti-trans panic is 100% bullshit and exactly none of our country’s problems are related to someone expressing their gender identity and everyone who isn’t a hate-filled weirdo knows it.

It is high past time for the Democrats to go full-send on a rampaging, ferocious, fire and brimstone anti-corruption push.

The people thirst for it.
i’ve said this before and i remain convinced it’s true, the 2028 platform that would deliver obama 08 results is “i am gonna

Then why is the cheap housing in the neighborhoods where all the immigrants live?
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

So I guess the idea is that Ghislaine Maxwell got transferred to a country club prison that someone with her sentence would never go to and gets all sorts of perks but that’s completely coincidental, that just happened unrelatedly

when the source is the World’s Most Famous Pedophile is it ok to burn them?
Perhaps, but definitely not the doofuses in my replies right now who don't even understand how reporting oversight works, much less things like sourcing agreements and when it's acceptable to burn a source.
A lot of the time outside randos have a better view of what’s happening on the inside than those whose livelihoods depend on being naive about how power operates within their organization.

It’s embarrassing that anyone actually believed the rich people would actually leave their nice elite enclaves in highly-developed states
NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

Tax the rich. Greg Ryan in @bloomberg.com:
Millionaire Tax That Inspired Mamdani Fuels $5.7 Billion Haul in Massachusetts
A millionaire levy in Massachusetts that New York City mayoral frontrunner Zohran Mamdani holds up as a model for taxing the rich has generated $3 billion more in revenue than expected without forcing...

I am in love with the idea of someone who earnestly believes the trump team in 2025 comes at things with actual objectives of national security/economic policy and not as a back door for yet another series of briberies and self dealing corruption, something that has not been demonstrated to date.

Trip out, Weed Boy.
This is real urban liberal brain. Rent is very high in liberal cities but the vast majority of all American voters have fixed rated of mortgages or own outright. With renting even less common in swing states.
Housing is one of the top issues all around the country.

One thing I think about a lot is that a presidential candidate who runs on a "rent is too damn high" platform could really win.

I hope if nothing else it opens people's eyes to what's going on. I used to consistently hear "the media just wants clicks/ratings." If they wanted that they would be doggedly pursuing the Epstein story. But what they actually want is to help Trump rule us and ultimately enslave us
Any other time, any other President, and "the dude was in a global conspiracy to fuck them kids" would have been 24/7 coverage. Even Dubya.

I remember the fucking Lewinsky coverage. Our media have become craven hacks carrying water for rich pedophiles and I feel insane typing that but there it is.

this (click through for context, it's a good thread) speaks to my belief that a morally correct resolution to this entire era will involve (inter many other alia) people who bent to trump, including governments abroad, being made to deeply regret their abdication of moral responsibility.
there was no prime minister of covid to give him a face saving out, no covid majority leader that he could browbeat, no covid media reporter he could schmooze with. its a virus. it spreads and adapt to spread better

if Noam Chomsky himself was willing to keep up an ongoing correspondence with Epstein, who am I to complain about his grammar?
guy who is willing to criticize jeffrey epstein for being a pedophile but who draws the line at criticizing his grammar

You would think the PedoCons would at least attempt to do this with Noam Chomsky’s money laundering for Epstein.
It's endlessly funny to me that conservatives in 2025 think they can get liberals to side against the release of the Epstein files by pointing out Bill Clinton's involvement. Nobody's cared about Bill Clinton for a quarter century.
