I hate this shit, this shit is so uncomfortable--but alas, here I am, hat in hand, asking for your support.

If you dig what I do and have the extra cash in hand this holiday season, please consider subscribing as a paid sub. It'd be dope!

Okay that's it, have a happy Thanksgiving
This holiday season, I'm passing the hat
A plea for sustained support.

Gotta say it out loud too! In your head just doesn't work…too easy to get sidetracked with other thoughts :)

This is ABSURD. It is absolutely a choice that we live like this - a choice that many ppl continue to vote for in the US. The money is available for single payer/nationalized care, but the basic human decency is simply not. People like my father will (continue to) die as a result. Vote like a human.

We need to also rethink our grading approach as well. Do they only get one shot at something or do we give them room to fail and keep working at the concept until they master it? More time consuming for all, and not always possible per discipline maybe, but arguably better for education.

Students are under (or feel they are) such pressure to maintain perfection that I will often see them in tears over a 92 vs a 100. Many use AI out of laziness/time/etc., and many out of misplaced idea that it will perfect their work. That they aren’t capable and that there is no room for failure.

I know, I get that. Same here. Strange how these big corps don’t have any money to spend on local news anymore. Or is it they’re too busy building national propaganda scripts? Come to think of it, maybe we’re lucky this slipped through at all.

I’m here for the turnout and outrage, but abc can miss me with its serious lack of in depth reporting. Dang.

I was *just* on a rant about this yesterday! Whole system is unethical, unsustainable, predatory, and inequitable.

Protect your peace. And your BP. I know I feel it. Gonna take myself right the hell off of here and go do something meaningful.
