Ok, yes, that is unethical. But it’s just a small part of the whole nobody-gets-treatment-unless-they’re-in-this-trial thing. 😣

I was horrified to hear that they were using placebo testing, so I looked at the Pathways document to see how they justified that.

In fact, they make very clear that it would be impractical and unethical to use a placebo here.

The trial is really bad, but not in that sense at least.

Thank you for sharing that – yes, it does look as though it may have been the writer’s (or editor’s) stance as opposed to that of the judge.

I know it’s not direct quotation but reported speech, but it sounds as though the judge is sympathetic to Burke’s views on transgender people, with ‘transgender issues’ occurring once, and the dogwhistle ‘transgenderism’ four times in the article. 😣
