I really liked this book and think of it often. Is it going to be a series, do you know?

Spent $6 on a small box of brand named Cheerios. (didn’t see the price when I put it in the cart) That’s almost an hour of minimum wage work here in Idaho. And they’re screwing around with SNAP? Current politics are cruel and stupid, and the suffering is needless.

I dislike them as much as cybertrucks and maybe more. So aggressive, unsafe and wasteful. At least cybertrucks have safety monitoring, low hoods and don’t use gas. Both are 👎

It’s also a little known fact that some freestanding birth clinics practice unpaid internships and don’t offer health insurance to their providers. Not to say they aren’t qualified or a good option, but their business practices aren’t perfect either.

If there is no access to medically trained professionals for births, there is opportunity for unqualified people to take advantage of the demand. Or women going it alone. That is what I worry about.

Registered nurse midwives are great. But hospitals are full of trained midwives and OBs more than capable of providing safe births if freestanding birth centers aren’t available. It’s the best plan B.

I read it was a pickup and I’m wondering if it was one of the newer ridiculously high and large ones and they couldn’t see her?
My heart goes out to the family and community.
