To make that happen, they need more young people to be nominated to receive a gift and more donations to help fund the parcels.

This is the kind of positive action that parents, family members and allies can take to show their support.

While our advocacy was initiated through supporting our young and adult trans children, we stand for ALL trans, non-binary and gender-diverse people 🤍

For many of them, moments of recognition in the media have reduced shame, eased fear and helped them feel less alone in an overwhelmingly hostile environment.

Transparent Action exists so supportive parents can speak collectively and take action. This letter is one example of how we take action.

The article claimed that the BBC’s representation of trans people has “damaged” children.

As parents of trans young people and adults, we felt it was important to offer another perspective from the ones they typically publish.

Our children have not been harmed by seeing themselves represented.

We hope and expect that those responsible for the puberty blocker trial will reflect these principles in their work.

A pathway that places young people under disproportionate scrutiny or emotional strain risks replicating those dynamics, even if unintentionally.

We stand with all trans+ children. We call for a pathway that supports them, not one that tests them to breaking point.

Being trans is not a mental illness and it is not a “bad outcome”.

Healthcare for trans young people should be grounded in dignity, trust and respect, not unnecessary barriers or psychological pressure.

Harmful conversion practices must be banned for everyone, whatever their age.

Every day we have a growing number of parents signing the Transparent Pledge and we are speaking out to represent their voices.

Our children deserve timely, compassionate, respectful and internationally recognised evidence-based care that meets their individual needs.

Transparent Action will keep fighting alongside parents, allies, and the wider community to make sure that the names we say today are never forgotten, and that fewer names need to be added in the years to come.
