i think it absolutely did! i'm very much in the "war only ends when the empire dies" because i'm a filthy little leftist but i think the form of postwar you present is very reminiscent of the post-roman period or Battletech's succession wars-space and corporate feudalism.

yeah if you pull the shit out and let it aerosolize it will just blow out into toxic dust that can damage people. More often though it turns into horrible sludge that leaches back into the water table downstream. awful stuff.
