Claiming that Danger Mango fellating Bill Clinton makes him our first LGBT President is James Buchanan erasure, and I won't stand for it.

Any day now I expect to wake up in bed next to Suzanne Pleshette on November 9, 2016, and find out this was all a bad dream!

They say you should only speak good of the dead.

Dick Cheney is dead.

Good.

Y'all. This is incomprehensible. Everyone and everything on Jamaica will be affected. I'm twitching just imagining a storm of this magnitude.

It's almost Halloween. This isn't (or at least wasn't) normal.
From a crewmember on yesterday's Teal 74 mission into now-Category 5 Hurricane #Melissa. As clear of an eye as you will see in the Atlantic basin.

"Don't you just love those long rainy afternoons in New Orleans when an hour isn't just an hour - but a little piece of eternity dropped into your hands - and who knows what to do with it?"

I am on the other side of the world from Los Angeles and I just heard a news grab on our national radio station of Maxine Waters telling a cop "Are you gonna shoot an elected representative? If you shoot me, you better shoot straight" and she remains one of the best to ever do it

I was able to catch Nicole Scherzinger's Tony performance, and was blown away. And Groffsauce was clearly having the time of his life - that moment with Keanu was *chef's kiss* I'll watch the full first hour tomorrow when it's available for streaming, but What. A. Show!

I wish Patti LuPone had been at the Tonys, so they could have cut to her when Andrew Lloyd Webber won for the Sunset Boulevard revival.

Having only listened to the cast recording, I was somewhat underwhelmed by Audra McDonald's Mama Rose, but after watching her performance at the Tonys, I'm blown away.

Has any prominent national politician ever pushed back against the anti-urban "Real America" narrative? Feels like it's been met with silent cringing.
Statistically “America” is its cities. But we’re stuck with an 18th century political architecture that gives votes to cornfields & thus makes it politically viable to treat them as some kind of weird tumor.
not the main issue here but i'd really appreciate it if democratic politicians spoke out in support of big-city life and culture with the same energy and reverence that all politicians have for small towns

los angeles is "real america" and so are all the other big cities the president hates

30 minutes in, and I've already cried twice watching the Tonys, because that's the kind of gay I am.
