I hate this troupe. I think it comes from this idea that female characters need to adopt "Masculine" sterotypes to be believable as a main character, or a powerful character within the story.
Why are so many contemporary sci-fi and fantasy female main characters so angry? The whole “to prove I am STRONG and RELATABLE, I am ANGRY at everything, including random people I have never met!!” Girl, you’re not relatable, you’re just rude
