"The "Third World" term arose during Cold War to define countries that remained non-aligned w/ either NATO or Warsaw Pact.

US, Canada, W. Europe, Japan, etc represented "1st World".

Soviet Union, China, Cuba, Vietnam, North Korea, etc represented "Second World"."

“In short, if the Post’s facts are correct, it appears that Special Operations Forces committed murder when the ‘two men were blown apart in the water, as the Post put it.’”

I’m worried that in the 2026 and 2028 elections, 49% of voters are gonna say “Trump and Musk turned out to be bad, but the rest of the GOP are fine.”

Which is why we need to tie all these bad things to the *entire GOP*.

“Waymo was behind a food truck w/ its turn signal on. After waiting for them to merge, the Waymo concluded that despite the signal, they did not intend to change lanes.

So Waymo passed them, providing a view to its driver, who was steering w/ one hand & holding a phone w/ his other.”

“Green Bay, a town founded by fur traders with a football team marketed as meat packers, came to be seen by Yoopers as an extension of the U.P.

It was, and is, their closest “big” city.

Detroit? It’s closer to Louisville, Ky., and Davenport, Iowa, than it is to Marquette.”

“While the Lions’ glory days of the ’50s were hardly seen in these parts, the Packers’ championship teams of 1961, '62, '65, '66, and '67 flashed in living rooms.

It was Packers players, not Lions, appearing on WLUC’s annual 24-hour marathon raising money for the U.P.'s March of Dimes.”
