I realise that cycling is a green form of transport, but too many London cyclists are fucking psychopaths with no regard for their own or other people's safety. This post brought to you by once again nearly being hit whilst using a pelican crossing.

So far as the present generation is concerned, I believe that those accustomed to hearing Homer performed by a singer and who like Homer performed by a singer will continue to listen to Homer performed by a singer whether they use the written texts or not. But how about the next generation?

A Labour government passed the Equality Act. A Labour government was in power when the Supreme Court interpreted it to not mean what ministers at the time were clear it was intended to mean. The Labour government response should have been to legislate to fix it. Not doing so was a cowardly betrayal.

The institutions most struggling are those that provide university education to the working classes. The Tories don't want an educated working class because ugh! they're working class, whilst Blue Labour don't want an educated working class because it's a betrayal of working-class roots.
