I think it's fine if a film is meant to be a crowd pleaser, but I do think both fans and critics offer valuable feedback.

Critics offer a more casual yet critical perspective on if a movie works on it's own merits, while audiences offer a look into if a movie does the source material justice.
Sorry, but I don’t think having any film be "not for the critics" be the best excuse or goal for any film to have. At all.

Or let alone have TOO much fan feedback.

All animated films NEED to end with this from now on.

Proof that they weren't just the work of 1 or 2 people, but rather, a massively and incredibly talented team.

Here are all the previews that played before Wake Up, Dead Man started:

How To Make A Killing(Very Excited!)
Father, Mother, Sister, Brother(Interesting!)
Song Sung Blue(Interesting!)
La Grazia(Interesting!)
The Secret Agent(Hyped!)
Wake Up, Dead Man:

With a slick mystery at it's center, gorgeous asthetics, and a top tier ensemble cast, Wake Up, Dead Man continues Johnson's Knives Out trilogy with a ton of grace and is one terrific detective film. Benoit Blanc is still good guy.

Genuinely was NOT expecting to see Lou Romano's name at the end of Wake Up, Dead Man. The man is a freaking legend and not only voiced both Bernie and Luigini, but he also worked on so many beloved and highly regarded films and shows.

It was also fantastic on the big screen too.

GOAT(Cannot Wait!)
The Cat in the Hat(2026)(Excited!)
The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants(Hmmm...)
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie(Seriously Cannot Wait!)
Zootopia 2(continued):

...characters, it really is a sequel that I personally think REALLY is as good as it gets. Also, Gary is the BEST.

David Ellison needs to go and he's only been leading Paramount for 3 and half months

Of course someone like him can let Brett Ratner continue to have a career

He's already done the same for people like John Lasseter and Jeff Shell

Will be honest...

..the more I see of that anthro basketball film that Sony Animation is putting out, the more excited I am for it.

Really cannot wait to see the new trailer and ESPECIALLY more of the animation.

(Only the Super Mario Galaxy Movie trailer was presented in IMAX.)

Reminders of Him(Interesting!)
You, Me, and Tuscany(Interesting!)
Song Sung Blue(Interesting!)
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie(Seriously Cannot Wait!)
Wicked: For Good(continued):

Let's just say both their performances as Elphaba and Glinda will be some of their most defining ones of their careers. For Good left me teary eyed and really ended the two film story on a very high note.

Wuthering Heights(Excited!)
Father, Mother, Sister, Brother(Interesting!)
Hamnet(Seriously Cannot Wait!)
Ella McCay(Hyped!)
Is This Thing On?(Interesting!)
Rental Family:

Rental Family is well paced and does a good job at both being cozy and sad... ...but thanks to Brendan Fraser's incredible performance, it really ends up being something rather special. It was also fun seeing Japan again, too.

Always loved that "Ding Dong, the witch is dead" note shout out at the very start of Wicked: Part One.

Out of all the easter eggs from the original 1939 film, that one was my favorite.

Here are all the previews that played before it started:

Send Help(Seriously Cannot Wait!)
Mercy(Sigh...)
Primate(Hyped!)
Five Nights at Freddy's 2(Slight Sigh...)
Hokum(Interesting!)
No Other Choice(Seriously Cannot Wait!)
Keeper:

I appreciate Keeper for being different from Perkins's other films and trying something out of the norm, but other than some very good cinematography and great performances, it's meandering and slow pacing and especially a cop out of an ending really make it sink fast.

Listened to some of the edits of the Ice Spice song from Search for SquarePants.

Astonishing how you can work with a VERY nothing song and still get a lot of fun things from it.

Here are all the previews that played before it started:

Crime 101(Very Excited!)
Five Nights at Freddy's 2(Slight Sigh...)
Wuthering Heights(Excited!)
Avatar: Fire and Ash(Seriously Cannot Wait!)
Primate(Very Excited!)
Scream 7(Cautiously Optimistic.)
The Running Man(2025):

The Running Man may have an inconsistent tone and one will start to feel it's long run time, but with a terrific cast, some powerful themes, and Edgar Wright's signature blend of bounciness and fun, it ends up being very worthwhile.

I really hope Lord and Miller treated the visual effects artists on Project Hail Mary well and actually learned their lessons for once. If there's any production difficulties that happened on that, I will be scared.

But at the same time... ...that second trailer SLAPPED.

I can officially announce...

...that pre production on Zootopia: Reanimated will be underway!

Animator recruiting will begin next Wednesday. Anyone who has any animation experience(CG(Maya and Blender), 2D, and stop motion) is officially welcome.

Now You See Me, Now You Don't:

Now You See Me, Now You Don't may lack a lot of logic and doesn't have a good script or well developed characters, but thanks to it's fun magic tricks and a charismatic cast, it is a lot of fun to watch. Also felt very cartoony too...

The first Zootopia 2 reactions are coming out tonight.

I am both excited and nervous. Or... ...a excited/nervous combo.

It's one that I have been waiting for for almost a decade... ...and the film that I hope will be the shot in the arm that Disney Animation needs.
