My old pinned post referenced Hulk Hogan. Accordingly, shouting out Stephen Miller - fly like an eagle, sad little racist fella!
Man, I hate it when cops openly weep because their feelings are hurt.
"Hundreds of New York City police officers are ready to leave the force in the wake of Zohran Mamdani’s (D.) election victory, with some openly weeping after the cop-hating socialist seized the city’s mayoralty earlier this month"

barely an exaggeration. Chatterton authored the Harper's Letter, which decried "the tendency to dissolve complex policy issues in a blinding moral certainty." his latest book has "the age of certainty" in its subtitle and has a whole chapter about "moral clarity."

just the same idea over and over.

JD Vance owns a company that buys American real estate and sells it to foreign investors. They specifically target Americans in crisis to buy their property for less than it is worth.
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

I would like Beardo here to tell us more about Americans' "right" to housing.

That’s because he’s a giant piece of shit that never should’ve been elevated past shitty little conservative with a chip on his shoulder that made it to the Ivy League on the backs of the women in his life that he scorned in print.
JD Vance calls ibuprofen "useless medication" and implies it's not "necessary, safe and effective."

According to this NYT report, the head of the FBI and the Attorney General are holding meetings *in the Situation Room* with GOP lawmakers they are trying to pressure to rescind their votes to release the Epstein info. This is madness.

I can attest to the accuracy of this piece, at least as relates to NYC.
NEW: I wrote about the secret history of Santacon, which began its life as a weird little art prank attended by a bunch of my friends. Now, a new documentary explores its absurd, anarchic, hysterical early years: www.motherjones.com/media/2025/1...

The canaries died 10 or 15 years ago.
Your windshields should be absolutely covered in a sticky mess of bug splats/insect carcasses every time you drive across open country forcing you to stop periodically at gas stations to use their wet squeegees to try and clean up your view of the road at night
Thinking a lot about how poorly our brains recognize long term subtle changes, like climate change or biodiversity loss. We've lost something like 1 out of every 4 individual birds in the US since 1970, more for some species.

There should be at least 25% more birds around you right now.

Can't they just do the Crime Alley montage, close up on the gun, pearls falling to the rainy pavement in slo-mo, etc?
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

Never hard to discern when there's a @nytimes.com "news product" that has Jeremy W. Peters somewhere lurking in the background.
“New York Times conducts hostile interview with children’s education influencer questioning her recognition of comprehensively documented war crimes” is not a sentence I could have imagined a few years ago
