Reginald F Lewis was the first Black person to build a billion dollar company, TLC Beatrice. It was also the first Black owned company to crack the fortune 500.

I find reading AI written (or AI-inflected) writing difficult to read. Do you have this experience as well?
FYI
Columbia and Northwestern are the academic homes to the most prestigious journalism schools in the country and they are the two universities that caved to the Trump administration’s extortion demands that are directly connected to the First Amendment. Just gonna sit with that for a while.

There are new (amplified?) challenges teaching young people and I bet we are going to see even more scholarship on reading pop up. Let’s not, though, return to pedagogies we did away with or forget why we did so in the first place.
An issue we're seeing at all levels of university is that many students are simply refusing to do *anything*. They aren't reading the syllabus, aren't following assignment guidelines, aren't engaging with material, ignoring deadlines. And this might seem like old news, but it truly has ramped up.

SNAP is a wage issue, not an issue of individual failures. It is a government subsidy for businesses for when wages are insufficient for buy food.
Without SNAP businesses (grocery stores) will likely make up income with higher prices. If wages remain low, *food* will be out of reach for millions.

70% of working age SNAP recipients work full time. The companies should pay them a living wage! SNAP is corporate welfare.

If any other president in all of history said the military should use American cities as a training ground he would be removed from office that same day. The hardest thing to tolerate in all this is how relatively silent elected democrats are. It’s ridiculous.

Trump says he authorizes Hegseth to deploy the military to Portland, which he lyingly calls "war ravaged," and says he is authorizing "full force."
