Carrying on my mammoth run of gigs (4 in 5 nights) tonight it’s the wonderful Gary Bartz at the Union Chapel. He’s aged a bit since this 1975 belter!

Not exactly close to the action, but J Mascis was fun, if very quirky tonight, and My Bloody Valentine were both wonderful and extremely loud (natch)
November 25, 2025 at 11:11 PM
Off to see these wonderful guys alongside My Bloody Valentine tonight. Should be good and loud. Strong, fresh coffee first methinks

At work today so it’s CDs rather than vinyl. Started with a bit of Robert Wyatt and moved to a bit of blasting Los Lobos when I’d woken up. Strong fresh coffee in between

In advance of tonight’s gig at the Barbican, it’s the latest from Tortoise. Washed down by strong fresh coffee. Two gigs this weekend; indeed, three in four days. Hope I can manage it. 🤞

Continuing recovery. Not so exhausted this morning which is a great sign. Strong, fresh coffee, Steve Earle and a bit of TVZ. I think I may have to go for the real thing later/tomorrow

Well I’ve been silent for a while. A week seeing/dealing with elderly relatives, hospital and care home. In my state of health all very exhausting. Been home four days and a still not functioning. But I’m reunited with vinyl. Today it’s Tortoise. Marvellous

Why spoil a good thing when you can simply continue with the wonderful and frightening world of Mark E Smith (with free 7” single)? With strong, fresh coffee of course
October 25, 2025 at 9:39 AM
Whenever I feel the need for a curmudgeonly old friend I turn to Mark E and the Fall. Not sure Mr Smith would approve of washing it down with strong, fresh coffee, but I’m afraid that’s about as strong as my tipple gets these days
