This is a damn important thing to remember. It’s all well & good to avoid Black Friday from a place of comfort, or a place of ethics, which I applaud, but for folks taking advantage of sales to get things they need? No shame, only solidarity in working for better wages & quality of living for all.
It's such a grim thing that I and many other people have only ever used Black Friday as not a gift-buying time, but a time to get necessities that are only affordable once a year.

Harry Connolly (@byharryconnolly.bsky.social) is one of my fave authors.

He needs $ help. harryjconnolly.com/17553-2/

For a good binge read, grab his completed epic fantasy trilogy The Great Way.

His "A Key, an Egg, an Unfortunate Remark" is the best standalone urban fantasy I've read.

Ah, just seen Judi Dench has macular degeneration and has lost much of her detail vision. A common age-related problem, and having had a brush with macular problems in my thirties I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Finished watching Star Cops. Only nine episodes made, and clearly had potential to go further with the stories and characters. I shall keep an eye on Big Finish for any sales on their line of continuing adventures.

If you find an indie game you like, PLEASE talk about it on social media. You can make a developer go from being completely unknown to actually able to make money just by spreading the word.
The fact that itch posted this and not even an hour later I got a bunch of new sales proves how big it is when other people talk about your games.

It can literally be a life changing events.

When John Harper made a nice quote tweet about Breathless, hundreds of people looked at the game.
