Tilted Owl
@tiltowl.bsky.social
Ex-Wall St. lawyer/exec. Focused on news media, public transit, NYC and RCP (Random Coffee Posts). Mock the GOP and their billionaire$. They don't want you to mock them, or say "Quiet, Piggy" to them. Hold all your elected officials accountable.
Whatever the reasoning, it is incredibly disappointing. Plus, a reminder to @chrismurphyct.bsky.social that while GOP ratings suck, there's no great love for Democrats. So try something new? The Senate can surely move to retract the approval of Petey for lying to them at confirmation time.

Not easy coming up with lies every 5 seconds. He probably can't stop lying at home:

Mrs Mike: more milk in your coffee, dear?

Mike: I haven't heard anything about that. No one has spoken with me about milk. I really can't say anything about milk right now.

I agree, not an "only-50%" takeaway. In NYC, voted for Mamdani. Many folks were hardcore Never Zohran--socialism, Islam, and Israel. For Obama, race was the big fear factor. Mamdani was young, relatable and relentless. My kid did extensive canvassing and the stories are fascinating.

The idea that our 1st in line of succession listens to this bozo is horrifying. On the fundamentals of Vance's adopted religion, no less. Musings by a rich wingnut about whether Pope Leo is legit.

I guess the VP really does have nothing to do.

In all honesty I wouldn't hesitate to do this too, when I get little nasty notes from someone attacking my views as opposed to having a dialogue. But yeah, with a big following probably makes sense to look at them and see if they're worth your time and effort.

Oh absolutely. And when it does, that line will not save them from fraud cases about their stupid forward looking statements if it's based on fraudulent underpinnings.

Wait, are you saying the Trxmp boys aren't too smart? That should be in the Risk Factors disclosure section!

This is a nice capsule statement of my reason for using this platform, imperfect as it is. More understanding on things. I don't get the accounts that say "if your position is XYZ, don't interact with me."

FWIW, I recently saw this tactic suggested for accounts one doesn't like. Draw them out, make them write stuff and then mute/block. Also FWIW, I shall happily read your thread because it's an important topic--the distinctions are so often muddled.

Impeach and worry about criminal prosecution for treason later. The current Supreme Court would not allow a treason conviction to stand.

He's smart, hope this was a lesson. Fortunately, it didn't escalate, and he'll provide adequate responses to this stuff once in office. All NY'ers must feel safe in religious settings. It's not for a mayor to evaluate proceedings (other than public safety--no setting fires, etc).

General sentiment coreect, but in fairness the quote about forward looking statements is standard. All forward financial projections have this disclaimer, because apparently it's not obvious to everyone who can read these reports that forecasts are forecasts, not promises.

Would you believe I actually understand that as a goal? But I would never put the work in!
