It's all "AI is the future" and "you can't get the genie back in the bottle" until the public don't like it and then it's "nooo this was handmade by real humans, it has a heart" and you try to fabricate a process that was never there.

I had my little theory that the war on porn games/art/writing was, in part, to try to make AI scraping easier, but now I can add "it was astroturfing to take out the ethical, artisanal, actually artistic competition."
