I went with a friend who's a massive jazz nerd and they said they recognized some of the musicians from a particular school in New York, said they'd seen some of them play in bars when they visited

yeah I couldn't tell you, since they didn't list the musicians in the damn program. The way she was talking I assume it was a similar group

she's incredible, but the way she interacted with the band - and granted I don't see big, well-known bands very often - i haven't seen that kind of musician/vocalist interaction at a show of that caliber before
