I know that this is Too Much but I had to wind down from a very intense Age of Wonders 4 session and how else but doodling in the margins?

An open notebook, two bottles of ink and three fountain pens sit nearby. The left page has notes from an ongoing Age of Wonders 4 game, the right page has notes from an ongoing Farthest Frontier game. There are various illustrations and border decorations in the margins.

Reinstalled Caves of Qud. Picked a Star-Eyed Vesper. My pet(?)s(?) either/or quickly turned into a pool of sugary, molten wax that I could sell & sent a canvas folding chair running around town, then later infected the giant amoeba that I’d proselytised so it randomly teleports.

It probably seems like a strange game to take notes for! But the levels are so big & detailed, and it usually takes me 4 sittings to finish one, and I forget everything. Hence, notes!

And thank you! It’s always a delight to see how many fountain pen fans there are out and about!

It definitely depends on the game for me. Some I will play the whole game with very few notes. However if I play anything quite detail oriented then my brain fills up very quickly, and I will forget anything I don’t write down.

I had too many notes for games that I am playing on my desk, so a while ago I ordered this frog notebook. Now all of these notes go in the frog notebook.
