If you have to get permission to teach in your area of expertise from people who are definitionally not qualified to adjudicate your expertise then you are no longer working at a university.

You’re working at a state propaganda factory.

Deporting millions of undocumented immigrants who have built lives in America (a) is morally indefensible, and (b) will probably make the housing shortage *worse* because so much of the construction workforce is undocumented.
everyone keeps dancing around it but JD Vance keeps trotting out the “immigrants are taking our housing“ because it’s a nativist blood libel he’s engineering alongside eg “they eat our pets” but, more specifically, it is to legitimize the dispossession, en masse, of an entire sub-population.

Hey so I rarely talk about this on main but I was sex trafficked when I was 18 and got my head kicked in and law enforcement discounted it because I was I was already a stripper so clearly I was a willing participant.

"You werent trafficked you were trying to make money"
I think epstein was jailed for 1 or 2 cases of girls of 12 or 14y lured into prostitution.
but the sex work trafficking network & sex parties for rich, illustrious, old, white men was mainly (well-paid) voluntary sex work.
most young women there are simply not ‘victims’, but business partners …

What the Epstein files show is the *solidarity* of many men-across class, race, religion, profession & party affiliation-in the global political project of keeping the boot on women's necks.

People have no problem understanding class solidarity among the rich. Why can't they see gender solidarity?
Like I dunno, maybe the reason it took a lady to break open the story of all the men protecting the dude trafficking underage girls is because the male journos were all emailing him making jokes about it?

you could fact check this — there aren’t 30 million illegal immigrants and there is no evidence that the presence of an immigrant in say houston has any impact on housing in madison, wisconsin — or you could note straightforwardly that this is just nazi rhetoric
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."
