Well, no. A major function of surplus is being able to enjoy it. Having more than you need. If mental health is in decline, having extra cash around is almost useless - buying a car, going to a movie, etc.

This is insane. $0.5T a yr would solve global warming if it was thrown at solar panels, and they would make huge profit SELLING ELECTRICITY, and instead they are literally setting it on fire to build a global warming causing machine.

I think my engineering curriculum would have greatly benefited if a class like these was required. 30’s years in and most of my career is real world applied basic math…second and third order differential equations…not so much.
