Hot weather heading our way again this week so I spent a couple of hours making a little water feature for the front of our house. It doubles as a drinking fountain for our cats. Fun little project and upgrade to the standard water bowl we have for them.

Another step of renovating the garden is done. Our little herb garden is planted. Little one picked the herbs and then we worked with nana to plant them. We added oregano, parsley, and chives to the rosemary, mint, sage, and thyme we already had. Family effort.

Afternoon adventure with my daughter took us to Newark Park for the first time and the views were spectacular. Could have happily sat here for hours... but there were playgrounds to explore and witch symbols to find.

Votes for policies is up and running and it is absolutely no surprise that my preferences are towards the greens and lib dems. And yet a vote for either in my area counts for nothing. PR can't come quick enough. Anyway check out the website: voteforpolicies.org.uk

Ah the joy of popping to the library to pick up a reservation and finding a companion on the shelves to join it. The merlin one is for research so I can finally update my short story series thing. Austral just sounded interesting so I thought why not!

Morning walk with little one. Grey and quiet but very pleasant and lots of lovely conversation with my daughter as we strolled. Didn't appreciate the false widow hiding in my welly. Luckily spotted them before I put my foot in.

Went to the zoo and somehow managed to take only one picture of an animal and one of some mushrooms. Enjoy!

Managed to get out for a quick walk. Lucky to have such a nice area nearby.

I actually started a short story inspired by this park with some fiesty fairies and angry gnomes. Once I finish the novel I'll have to finish it.
