It’s been a while! That’s because I’m stuck in my own game 👋🏻

I’ve built a level loading system in Godot 4.3 using C# with some UI Shader magic to hide scene loading. But ever since I implemented it, things have gotten... weird. The transitions are seamless. Maybe too seamless…

I’m trapped.

Tried to make the tail-wagging animation more natural-looking using Blender's animation graphs! 📈

Knew to use them but haven't until now. Removed redundant keyframes and made animating that much easier 🐶

...okay... now onto walk cycles...

🐶 Project Update! 🌳

Finally getting some world-building done. Added some (lol) terrain textures, grass instancing, trees and stylised wind particle effects! 💨🍃

Using Terrain3D for the Terrain (highly recommend!)

Some more progress! This time we be playing in mud... or at least it looks like mud...

Trying out shaders with small and simple ones but learning a lot. Super proud to get these shaders working on my own with what I've learned.

Water is coming too!

New Project. New Mechanic. Digging!

The animation is my favourite part. Studied how various mammals dig for approx 5 minutes to achieve this result 👁️👄👁️

Double points if you know which early 00s game this project is a nod to 🐶

Finally made my first proper shader for water!

Learned a lot... all I can see now is maths, different spaces and warped screen textures... but I THINK I understand it now.

The waves aren't perfect but it does what I wanted it to!
