If that line excites you, this book is for you. If it made you laugh or cringe, the rest of the book will do the same.

This book is a messy mashup of Harry Potter, True Blood, and ACOTAR written by someone who has a dominance fetish and spends too much time reading horoscopes.

-Protag is secret heir to vast fortune after growing up in poverty.
-Protag is fish-out-of-water that must learn magic quickly in order to survive.

If you said BOTH for all the answers, you are correct!

-Teacher everyone hates and that hates all the students, protag thinks is secretly evil, but is actually protecting protag all along.
-High class students that think they are better than everyone else due to their heritage.

Now I'm reading Zodiac Academy, and after reading VERY thirsty descriptions of 4 male leads, one of them growls after being ignored and it just made me laugh.

If the book has an animalistic motif, I can more accept it, or if the character has a 'gravely voice'. Just coming off of Christopher Moore's Fool, the protagonist actually points out how one of the characters starts growling his words more now that he is nobility, and makes fun of him for it.

Anacronisms and inaccuracies aside, this is another Moore work with lots of risqué humor, sex, swearing, backstabbing, plotting, insanity, drama, death, and comedy.

Outside of repeated mentions of drug use, depression, and ECT in the first chapter, there wasn't a whole lot about Carrie besides her interactions with mostly those 3 people.

I guess after doing a play and a book about her life, there wasn't much else to write about.

Just had a friend introduce me to Overly Sarcastic Productions after telling them about this book. Enjoy the (mostly accurate) summary!

Probably my biggest gripe with the book is the long monologues the author expy tends to delve into.

Also, just a heads up: this is a book written in the 50's and published early 60's, so expect a lot of sexism, racism, and values dissonance.

I am surprised for a book written in the 50's how little has changed. Politics is all bureaucracy and power. Religion is about money and influence, with mega churches encouraging gambling and drinking alcohol in the building. And those trying to teach love and understanding are hated for it

An art fair, comic-con or trade show would be a good way to get your art out in the world and get some in person feedback. If you are a quick enough creator, you can even make commissions for people.

Romance that is just south of erotica. The whole book is about a gay resort in the woods. There is plenty of spice if that is your thing.

Every gay stereotype you can think of is in this book (at least all those I'M aware of, but I'm not exactly the target audience so i could be wrong)
