one insidious thing about gen AI is it's not just causing us to mistrust dodgy images, it's also making us mistrust images that look perfectly normal. this is gaslighting in a very literal sense bc the technology is undermining the trust we have in our own ability to perceive reality!

So glad acupuncture continues to help people! But also wanna say that acupuncture didn’t come out of nowhere—It represents thousands of years of scientific trial & error that predates Western “scientific method”—It’s canon Chinese culture for royalty to unalive doctors if they were ineffective… 😭
I mention this because people are talking about people leaning on woo woo, and a lot of people think acupuncture is woo woo, and I thought it was woo woo and someone walked in and took a look at me and then put a needle in my arm and it stopped the flare up. Period.
