Had an experience unique to Kansas City today. Few people outside of KC know of the extensive limestone cave systems under the city and suburbs around the river area. Today, we shopped at a furniture warehouse sale in one of them. These caves run very deep. The walls of the businesses are cave rock.
Driving into the cave. A long tunnel extends forward from the car that is very evenly carved from the rock. Columns of white-painted stone line the right and left sides, the floor is polished rock, and the ceiling is white painted stone with lights evenly positioned along the centerline. Dash was a rescue adoption from a local shelter. I’m pretty sure he was dumped by an unethical breeder because his color points aren’t symmetric and his eyes are too small. He also got shorted a bit on intelligence.

But gosh darn it, I ❤️ this big, beautiful idiot.

It is rainy and cold here today. Dash’s lineage was just bred to be pretty, and he’s very content to do that inside where it’s nice and warm.

My 12yo son used a pic I took of Amber for a digital mosaic art project at school. He worked so hard and got a 100% on it! I love it so much, I had it printed on a metal canvas and framed for the wall. ❤️

Found a Cat Dancer (best cat toy ever) and played with the kids a bit with it before dinner time. Apparently Amber wasn’t done playing, so she opened the cabinet door and got it back out while I was making their dinner.
