Java is close to 16 years old, as far as we can reckon. He was a kitteen when he chose me, tapping me on the shoulder from behind from his enclosure at the SPCA. He gives no fucks anymore. He has been in decline for over a year, and now he doesn’t even complain when I pick him up.

Meanwhile, getting the last details together for my mom going into assisted living, and my 15-year old cat is close to going to Cathalla. This coming week will be all feels, all the time. (Dad’s post-amputation rehab continues.)
