Living in Oklahoma tutned me into a Chiefs fan, as the other choice was the Cowboys and I was a Washington fan growing up, so couldn't adopt them. Mavs were also a team I watched a lot prior to the Thunder existing. Was a huge Nowitzki fan. Loved his game.

Where in Oklahoma? We lived, at various times, in Norman, Tulsa, and until about 18 months ago, Shawnee. We're in Colorado now, which fits because I was a Nuggets fan as a kid after reading a Sports Illustrated article on David Thompson. :)

That's where I'm at. I lived in Oklahoma for 17 years and was there when the Sonics were abducted and became the Thunder, so I'm a fan. SGA didn't super impress me at first, but his game has developed in leaps and bounds. Player development is something that franchise does pretty well.

I'm not disagreeing about that. I just think it is pretty standard for the high offense guys across the league, and SGA is not an outlier. To me, this is a rules and refereeing problem, not a player problem. The incentives are off.

The league made this possible and every big offensive talent is working it. I'm 60, been watching ball since I was a kid, and have seen all of the changes, not all of them good ones.

Didn't doubt your knowledge and didn't mean to imply such at all, but I disagree about SGA being just a foul merchant. He plays the midrange game and drives the lane more than any player in the league. Under the offense friendly regime he will get calls, like a dozen other all stars.

Per minutes and amount of handling of the ball he doesn't get a uniquely high number of calls. The league decided years ago to advantage offensive players, and this is what that looks like. It's the entire league. Watch Steph, Harden, etc. Same push off, same calls.
