Succinct and true.
This isn't a Supreme Court, it's just six Republican operatives imposing law on the rest of us in order to help Trump and MAGA destroy the Constitution and impose authoritarian rule.
BREAKING: Supreme Court sides with Texas Republicans in fight over congressional map. The new gerrymandered map will be used in the 2026 midterms. The vote is 6–3, with the Republican appointees siding with Texas.

There’s a reason that RFK Jr. demanded that this paper be retracted (the journal refused).

Counterpoint:

The Supreme Court lacks the authority to change the text of the Constitution.

So either it affirms the text or (further, and more completely) nukes its authority as Constitutional arbiter.

There’s no third option. Art III (courts) can’t just usurp Art V (amendments).

The explicit rationale DOJ told TX to use, which Abbot & co. then did, is that you can have a district where white + black voters, or white + Hispanic voters, or white/black/Hispanic on their own, constitute a majority, but not a black + Hispanic majority. That's how facially discriminatory it is.

Simply amazing that the Supreme Court declared an end to legal race discrimination in the affirmative action case two years ago and now allows overt racism in both immigration arrests and redistricting.

Using race to help minorities? Bad. Using it to discriminate against them? Very, very good.

Maybe listen to disabled folk on this one.
Balancing "no person with a disability should be denied accommodations" with "it's important to discourage non-disabled people from pretending to be disabled to take advantage of these accommodations" is really difficult and I don't have a great answer for what anyone should do about it.
