A continuation of de Palma's fascination with Hitchcock. He'd already done Obsession (1976) modeled on Vertigo; this is his version of Psycho. A bit later he'd combine Vertigo with some Rear Window and release Body Double. You can't go wrong, admiring Hitchcock in your own way...😊

Another one of those where, if a letter was changed to a better one you'd have been all over this like hair on a gorilla. The pangram jumped out at me, then I got a 7-letter then a 6-letter then a 5-letter - and that's as far as they'd let me go. Party poopers! 😲

It has some good moments; as mentioned 'that' scene. My big problem was Newman - didn't buy him in the role. Yet bought him in everything following, starting with Cool Hand Luke in '67.

Yep. I was doing that ALL friggin' morning with that other one, random that I knew weren't words. I log in, see the lousy letter span and then discover they wanted 125 for GENIUS?!? 😲 I laffed and laffed. But there are some Big Count words in it and that's the ONLY thing that saved me...

When this occurs, the reader is immediately required to count the number of words in the first 45 pages and pit that bad boy total against the word count of the final 55. Hey I watch TV, I seen the Midpoint - CounterMidpoint show and they learn viewers up on this all the time.

Seeing a lot of these today. I think the only reason I three'ed this is because all I did in school was read books. Not textbooks like yer sposta; library books. 😲
