I had a poison ivy plant in my yard. Every summer, my face, hands, and arms broke out in hives and blisters. I tried to stay away from it, and I tried to ignore it, but it grew. It took over the garden, the fence, the deck. Covered the windows. Then I had enough, and ripped it out by the roots.

I’ve been married since I was 19 but sometimes I look at my wife and think “When did you get here? Where did you come from?????” And sometimes I feel like we’ve both been here together a billion years.
