Yea I think they were trying to but said they couldn't get a signal to the modem. I asked google gemini and the leading theory is an issue with the cable between my modem and their hub at some point (so probably outside). I ordered a coax cable to replace the one from the modem to the wall in case

Plug back in the old modem and I'm back to slow download speed and good upload lol
