bibingkang malagkit is filipino coconut caramel sticky rice! bibingka in the city is more cakey, this version (closer to biko) is what i grew up on in my parents’ hometown. my dad asks me to make this at least three times a year and i love making it. great with coffee or hot chocolate from tablea

that’s just the kinda luck i have in this country, and i did as i’ve always done and tried to find moments of joy in the face of helplessness and uncertainty. parental medical crisis averted! i made mocha hazelnut cake! i had indian food! i’m alive, all good
