I don’t know how this works fully, but I really think video should be one of the priorities, seriously.
it is very frequently requested, but GIFs+videos is a ways down our roadmap.

GIFs are basically video from a cost (bandwidth) and moderation perspective.

moderation is much harder than images, and harm/risk is much higher.

bandwidth cost is way, way higher.

may try to improve embeds (youtube)

So, really, how are companies that provide customer service on Twitter supposed to function from now on? How do news agencies share news on Twitter if the average person cannot see it? It’s a mess!

There will really be a need to fill this void. Even in Nigeria, a lot of issues that are shared on Twitter get to the authorities really fast. It’s a quick way to spread info and sensitize so many people. From police issues, to banking issues, to customer service. A lot of things will take a hit.
We have not responded to any major disaster in the United States for almost two decades without twitter and I do not want to know how a response would go without it.

NLP solutions have really come a long way. Looking back at those days when, if you need to build an NLP solution, you had to have to gather data, label it, store it, build a model, deploy, etc.; stressful and expensive. Now, one can almost build any NLP solution on one of the LLMs, with just an API.
