And then unfortunately, we VALIDATE call out culture and dogpiling and bullying so it continues because everyone's too scared to be isolated if they even try to bite back on the harassment

Idk maybe because I work in mental health and its my JOB to teach people communication skills but I just couldn't do that to someone. Sometimes it truly just isn't that deep.

We have escalated to "THEY ARE AN AWFUL PERSON AND I NEED EVERYONE ELSE TO THINK SO SO MY THOUGHTS ARE VALIDATED." Like yes, your feelings are hurt and valid but I truly can't comprehend why someone feels the need to ruin someone's online presence over a misunderstanding

We've lost the will to even ask for clarification or follow ups tbh. "Hey is this what you really meant?" or "Hey that hurt my feelings can we talk about it?" but instead we skip straight to call outs and dogpiling.

Among the things social media has caused, it's the lack of realization of boundaries. Some thoughts are for the group chat, some are for Discord, some are just to be shared on the phone or in person with your friends, some are to be kept to yourself.

Not every single thought needs to be public.
