I super appreciate this thread of replies breaking down the details of what differentiates this from previous titles. So it's still very much Katamari which is the most important thing! But it's not the most dialed in evolution or refinement either it seems. Keeping it on my radar!

The pacing & length of dial just kill it for me. And I didn't buy some of the performances or character motivations.. or acting.. or a lot.. man, at least Crystal Skull was still kinda fun & not the worst. I enjoy that more on rewatches now but I dread considering a dial rewatch. Og trilogy is 💯

I'm battling poison ivy around my eye and using a PS Portal as a controller but despite it all I'm thriving so far in game. I thought Elden Ring Nightreign spoiled me and it would be hard to go back but I'm having an easier time thus far. I should try getting around to actually beating it maybe!
