I'm really soft abt familial love (Parent/Child), but the exact snippet I'm thinking of to fill this prompt from WitchXHunter WIP is a MAJOR spoiler 😅
Instead I'm gonna share this scene of Avery + Tristan deciding to get married!💕 (w ALT text)
Thank you for hosting!! This was really fun!

I'm demonstrating with snippets from #FirstDraftFall
My favorite part has been having each POV character's storyline having distinct voices and styles, displaying their mentalities, conflicts, and flaws through the prose.
1: Sterling
2: Elias
3: Avery

From WitchXHunter WIP
Theodore's internal struggle with his gay panic over Elias, as well as parsing through his grief and looking inward.
In the spirit of giving thanks, I'm thankful for this incredible community and how we support each other's writing journeys✨

The Church of the Mountain of Flesh by Kyle Wakefield
An incredible trans cosmic horror starring a man that will do anything to get the body he wants. And I mean Anything.
Be it grief, his descent into madness, or his one-track minded pursuit, his narration sometimes distorts reality.

This year I read Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt. Normally, I don't read contemporary lit (not for any particular reason), but I was curious when my mom said she wanted to read it, and it surpassed my expectations and was an enjoyable read for me.

The First to Die at the End by Adam Silvera
I love how this book and They Both Die at the End have New York City be such an integral part to the story, but you really feel it in the prequel. This book wouldn't be the same if it wasn't in NYC. It's its own entity.

He's got long auburn hair that he usually prefers styling into a braid.
In this drawing example however, it's down LOL (illustrated by me!)

GASP!
I have two characters with really pretty hair (both from different stories lol)
First: Elias from WitchXHunter WIP has long, black hair with silver streaks. They're signs of the forest's decline, but he really rocks the look.
Here's with it approx. looks like via heroforge

Sterling gets confronted by a man (Tristan) that is concerned about his missing [boy]friend. And as it turns out, lying about killing the witch may have consequences.
This scene may get cut, but it's my favorite excerpt with this prompt word in it 👀

The primary motivation for Theodore Sterling's internal conflict is to avenge the family he had lost. However, he has gone about it the wrong way.

My queer dark fantasy series WIP, The Art of Malignance [18+], is available to read on Ao3!
Includes moral ambiguity, rich internal conflict, necromancy, and several queer MCs trying to survive in a world that's slowly falling apart around them.

Gothic horror is one of my favorite subgenres. And Frankenstein is my favorite book of all time.
All the reasons why can't fit in 1 post. To keep it brief, it could've stayed a cautionary tragedy to not chase an obsession
Then the creature tells his story, and everything changed.🧵 (1/11)

One-room rustic stone hovel with an open concept campsite. Comes with healthy berry bushes and access to the water supply just a quick walk from the property.
Pros: cozy interior to fit your cottagecore needs
Cons: No door and intrusive neighbors that may mistake you for a witch
