Had a fairly interesting life, did some stuff, went some cool places, made some things, and now I'm old.
Funny how that works...

Costco is not just a "wholesale retailer"

It's member-based, in that goods are sold for near cost and the profit comes from the membership fees

They are therefore focused on the well-being of their members ("consumers") and not profits

The one large corp I feel "has my back"
Costco is suing the Dictator in the WH for the financial harm his tariffs are causing American consumers.

A wholesale retailer cares more about protecting families’ wallets than the executive branch does.

Speaks volumes.

With all the foofarah around "Christmas movies" let me just up the ante:

"Jingle Bells" and "Winter Wonderland" are NOT Christmas songs

Ah just *loves* me a good social media slamdown 😳

Interesting but I don't think this one would much care for the name we've given it 🤪
The Pink Hairy Squat Lobster (Lauriea siagiani) is a small crustacean that lives on barrel sponges in the Indo-Pacific region. It is more closely related to crabs than lobsters & is known for its color & hair-like structures called setae, which help it sense vibrations & filter food.

The AI bubble isn’t new — Karl Marx explained the mechanisms behind it nearly 150 years ago
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman’s warning of an AI bubble highlights a deeper economic problem: capitalism is producing more capital than it can profitably invest.

Covered bridges make sense in snow country

I never understood why we had some in the warmth of Alabama

But they're always a visual treat

Northern Shovelers have arrived in Central Park. Their huge spoon-shaped bill always makes me laugh--but it's very effective for filtering tiny crustaceans out of the water. Just look at the size of that thing! 😍😍😍 #Shoveler #CentralPark #birding

We are not at war with Venezuela, yet. The boats are civilian craft. The U.S. criminal code does not maintain a death penalty for drug smuggling. Due process is required before conviction or sentence.

All of the 80 people killed thus far are wanton murders slain under illegal orders. All of them.

This is the face of one of those shoving "AI" into every corner of our lives

He *knows* he's playing with fire and the future of humanity and HE DOESN'T CARE

The only one who rings my bell is Mark Kelly

Newsome is cool but slippery
