Greatest Christmas of all time BTW, and it’s not particularly close

Got our living room finished and super cozy just in time for the first snowfall ❄️🎄⛄️

We’ve officially become those people that run 5Ks on holidays.

Time was only 16 seconds slower than my last one despite doing absolutely no training this time around.

Since it’s nearly Christmas Music Season ™️, what’s your favorite, not well-known version of a classic Christmas song?

I’ll start: Caylee Hammack goes hard AF (esp. on the last 48 seconds) on this version of Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)

Our house is starting to look very cozy 🎅

One saving grace for America is that this administration has not a single competent comms professional.

The immediate response to the video should’ve been, “Well, that’s pointless. We’d never ask troops to do anything illegal.”

Yall they put crack in these sumbitches they’re selling at Aldi. I’ve nearly finished two bags, and it’s not been time to be eating them yet.

Just finished our exterior holiday decorations, and they came out SO good this year.

(May also add some lights on the peak of the house, but I hate getting on the roof 😅😬)

Is it a hot take to say this is the best collection of songs Orville Peck has released thus far in his career?

Books #15 and #16 of 2025: Throne of Glass and Crown of Midnight

I’m pissed no one told me about this series before because it’s good as hell. Taking a one-book break to read Parv’s book, then I’m going to get back to it. #BookSky

It’s raining leaves today which means beautiful fall is nearly over and three months where everything looks dead is almost here. 😔 🍁

Just want to share bc I’m super proud of it, but I took pictures of stained glass windows for a calendar for the historical society that I’m on the board for, and it came out SO beautiful.

Muscadine Bloodline has long been one of my guilty pleasures. I always describe their sound as if a 2000s punk band decided to go country (complimentary). There’s less of that on this album, but it’s still enjoyable.

Kelsea Ballerini EPs >>> Kelsea Ballerini Albums

IDK why, but Kelsea’s last few albums haven’t really been my cup of tea, but the two EPs she’s released between them have been really good. I really enjoy Emerald City and People Pleaser are my favs here.

Time for your weekly music recs, starting with Kaitlin Butts’ Yeehaw Sessions, an EP of songs she covered in her set on her most recent tour. All four work for me, but “Red Wine Supernova” and Jimmy Eat World’s “The Middle” are clear standouts.

Does anyone else find it ironic that Shannon knows Boston Rob and got advice from him before the season. She was the last person voted about before jury, and so was Rob in Marquesas.

That means if Shannon comes back three more times, she could win! #Survivor49

I just want to say that character-wise and chemistry-wise, Uli is one of the best-assembled tribes of the new era. Literally every character was a hit for me, and their dynamics have led to so much drama and entertainment. #Survivor49

Brendan Walter has become a fast favorite of mine this year, too. His album “Disappearing Days” has a lot of good songwriting. IMO, style has a lot of similarities to Wyatt Flores.

Brendan is what people pretend Sam Barber is, but Brendan can actually sing and his songs don’t all sound the same.

There aren’t many straight solo male artists I give my stan card to (it’s pretty much just Tyler Childers and Wyatt Flores), but Max Alan is dangerously close to earning one.

He’s released 5 songs this year, and all have been fantastic. “Sky Blue” is one of my favorite songs released this year.
