I was 3 days bean-juice free and all I got were constant energy crashes and a chaotic giggle at absurdity.

What I'm trying to say is: I love sharing experiences online. I think it's fine to curate your feed to your likes. I think it's fine to feel connections with others parasocially, but I implore all to pursue connections offline as well. We're all in the on-life everyone. Let's keep this going!

Thinking about it more, maybe that fuels the parasociality of my relationships. I have had people act like they know me well because they enjoy my posts, and that's fine. I feel like if you feel connection, please do. Feel free to reach out! I don't mind!

What I'm not understanding, and I don't think she meant to come off as judgmental, is what exactly is wrong with posting? I know sometimes it can come off self absorbed or performative, but if I'm seeing a cool mountain peak on my hike or beautiful painting? I will share that.

Recently, my friend told me that she thought that I treat my social media like a digital diary. I mean...how else am I supposed to use it? It's my record of things, I wish to share with others who are not immediately around me. That's totally okay and I love doing so. I'm an open book.

I came across my high school era tumblr, a blog chock full of aesthetic images, reposted with commentary. The numerous questions friends, offline and not, would send to me. I had pen pals who I made friendship bracelets for. Oh, I miss THAT internet.

Thank you so much Dr. Brunson. It’s been a very humbling experience with this job hunt and I’m grateful for your support on my behalf! 🥹

I've recruited writers with so many beautifully unique ideas and perspectives. We've done edits, we've pushed to publication, and had loads of success. I've spent the last 3 years working in and NGO, writing exciting webcopy and donor blurbs. I love connecting people through multimedia.

I've done a lot of award-winning or acclaimed #sciencecommunication. I've written for all audiences, with publications that have 34 million+ monthly readers like Taste of Home. I've written for academic blogs/societies like CASTAC's Platypus. I also made a video reel for National Geographic.
