Work colleague gave me these vintage office posters today; the abject misogyny seemed to be lost on him….

Please tell me the person who thought of this is a philanthropic bazillionaire. As a “savory” snacker, all I want are tiny-sized olives/pickles/cheeses/nuts.

Had a spirited convo with a woman at the city-center farmers market today who was vigorously advocating for converting an unused vacant parking lot downtown into…. a parking lot. It was depressing. A block away, 3-4 spots had been roped off for roadwork without catastrophe! There’s enough parking!

The Brad Lander arrest is chilling. And, this photo from linked article shows us who these people are: insecure men trying to intimidate a small but powerful woman.

I’m holding Joe Biden in my heart. It’s also weirdly upsetting to hear people talk about him “fighting back” and “beating this.” Stage IV with mets to bone may be treatable, but it isn’t curable. My beautiful mom had 56 days from diagnosis until she passed on 12/27. Let’s just love each other, okay?

I feel so incredibly seen! I’ve been saying same for about 40 years and people think I’m a nut. Cheers to @susandominus.bsky.social for this stellar article! www.nytimes.com/2025/05/01/m...

Just printed out this photo of #PeteHegseth and put it next to my computer as a reminder that whatever mistakes I make are not as bad as his. I’ve had it with these the mediocre white men and won’t lose more time to imposter syndrome.

Recovering from my first ever bout of diverticulitis (despite a very veggie-full, water-rich, high-fiber diet!) and I can’t even relax and do the NYT Strands because all I see is “DOGE.” Being a federal employee is more stressful that I realize…

Jessica Grose is always spot on; the headline writer, not so much. There is nothing “inexplicable” about patriarchy maintaining a patriarchy. Say it with me: they will not share power willingly. www.nytimes.com/2025/04/01/o...

This is such a pet peeve - it’s like a micro-antisocial behavior to put your filthy shoes on public chairs. Get it together, people! (Also this persisted for about 30 minutes while the lady talked on the phone…). Blerg.
