A De Havilland Twin Otter Classic 300-G on floats is pictured in flight in a 'gin clear' blue sky. It is flying from left-to-right in a level attitude. It is turned slightly toward the camera position and is banking to its right. The aircraft is painted dark red, grey and white. The dark red region is predominently on the upper surface of the fuselage. The white region is primarly on the lower surfaces of the fuselage and floats. The grey, curved, graphic stripe separates the two colour regions along the fuselage. The De Havilland corporate logo is painted on the side of the fusleage just aft of the cockpit as well as on the vertical stabiliser. It's just possible to make out the pilots in the cockpit. A red and yellow helicopter is parked on the ramp at Springbank Airport near Calgary, Alberta, Canada, on the afternoon of October 19, 2025. It is tentatively identified as CH-146 Griffon from 417 Combat Support Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force flying out of Cold Lake, Alberta. It is marked with RCAF insignia and has the words « Canada » and « RESCUE SAUVETAGE » painted on the side of the main part of the fuselage. The helicopter is pointed away from the camera and slightly to the right, facing the taxiway adjacent to the main east/west runway. A number of crew can be seen. A crew member is also up on top of the helicopter, working near the main rotor. A number of the rotor tower cowlings have been removed to provide access. A subdivision and rolling hills are visible in the distance. The sky is mostly blue with streaky white clouds. It is sunny but based on the dress of the crew, quite chilly.

The 'mystery' pepper plant was a gift from a kind neighbour with a shorthand label, so I'm not sure exactly what it is. However, it trends towards green rather than hot pepper in flavour. Perhaps a passerby here on Bluesky can help identify it? | 🧵 2/2
