The GOP takes an oath to whatever principal gets them reelected, which may occasionally include supporting the constitution. They will always choose political power over principle.

We turn to academia & the fourth estate for scientifically rigorous, evidentially based, objective & unbiased knowledge. The reason very few right wing attitudes are found in universities or quality journalism, is because most RW ideas aren't scientifically rigorous or evidentially based.

If the Dems take the house in 2026, they could threaten to shut down the government unless Medicaid cuts are restored, paid for by reversing tax cuts on the rich.

Efforts against EVs, fuel efficiency, etc. keeps us reliant on oil, which puts our national security at risk. Perhaps the $20B annual subsidy we give to fossil fuel corporations could be better spent.
