... someone is accused of a crime, maybe even bailed, but loses their payments or part-payment - they can't pay rent so lose their home, can't run their car to get to work ... what happens?
And what if they're found not guilty - do they get back pay, and a new place to live?

Solid chat as always and one thing Ronni flagged has been puzzling me too - why is anyone acting like the LNP will ever form government again and therefore is a party whose views need to be given equal weight to the governments?

MSM needs to get a lot better at multiparty coverage.

It was found broken down tyres were the largest source of microplastics in New Zealand's coastal waters.

Aesthetic my ass.
Exclusive: President Trump has argued with the architect he handpicked to design a White House ballroom over the size of the project, reflecting a conflict between architectural norms and Trump’s grandiose aesthetic.
Trump wants a bigger White House ballroom. His architect disagrees.
The president and James McCrery had argued in recent weeks over the project’s size, with Trump pushing him to expand the ballroom.

Every year around Thanksgiving, I see tons of grad students post heartbreaking messages on social media about how their loved ones don’t understand or support their decision to study what seems like something pointless or silly.

Perhaps my American Scientist essay can help!

OMG we do not need more of the "I made up my own facts" people. We need access to information, librarians, and safe third spaces. FFS. The State Library is a treasure and should be resourced as such.
The State Library of Victoria’s ‘major’ proposed cuts include slashing the number of reference librarians and free computers for public access. Some staff are shocked.
