Victims of child criminal exploitation need protection, not punishment. We applaud Lord Hampton & Baroness Moulsecoomb's advocacy and thank them for mentioning us - together we’ll keep fighting for measures that put children’s safety at the heart of the Crime and Policing Bill.

However, curriculum reform alone, isn’t enough. The Review must drive a cultural shift prioritising wellbeing, long-term investment, & holistic support.

Our #GoodChildhoodReport shows school is where children feel most unhappy, with 2 in 5 worried about grades. The system needs change.📢✏️

We're joining @bigissue.com & 65 other signatories in an open letter urging the government to set child poverty targets in the upcoming child poverty strategy.

4.5 million children are growing up in poverty in the UK, & while ministers have been promising change, that figure has continued to rise.

It's been a week since we launched our #GoodChildhoodReport 2025 📢

It's great to see Peers referencing our work during the Second Reading of the Crime and Policing Bill.🙌

As the Bill moves to Committee stage, we’ll keep advocating to ensure children who’ve been criminally exploited are always recognized as victims, not perpetrators.

5999 young people were identified as potential victims of modern slavery in 2024 in the UK. But many cases aren’t referred due to young people being seen as perpetrators, not victims of modern slavery. We're working to change this:

Powerful afternoon outside Parliament supporting @nspcc.bsky.social, @rcpch.bsky.social & @barnardos.org.uk campaign to end the “reasonable punishment” defence. There’s nothing reasonable about physically harming a child. Children deserve equal legal protection for their safety, dignity & wellbeing.

Nearly two children in every classroom in England have asked for mental health support.

For many, mental health issues begin in childhood.

This #WorldMentalHealthDay, it's important to understand how vital early support is to tackle problems before they become overwhelming.
