Yeah that's sort of how it goes with any awards shows nowadays.

The only "big" award shows I tune in to are the Tonys and, oddly enough, the Game Awards. Both for different reasons but those two actually have elements that make the award show more entertaining to watch.

Based on reactions I saw it was basically on par with that of an average Grammy year, not much going on and it also seemed like outside of a few performances there was all that much to watch.

Again like an average Grammy year nowadays.
