wait is housing a basic human right now?

Because these folks have been saying non stop it’s NOT a right.

Also housing is expensive because of greedy corporate landlords and a fledgling market.

Stop. Blaming. Immigrants.
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

Well Emily, if YOU'RE frustrated by this, imagine how frustrated those of us who think enabling child rapists is wrong feel about you pretending you have any f'ing moral high ground here.
As a former member of NYT’s finance team & the co-author of this story exposing the relationship between Epstein & Bill Gates as well as one on Epstein & JPMorgan, I am really frustrated to see people claiming that NYT sat on publishable info about Trump and Epstein 🧵 www.nytimes.com/2019/10/12/b...

My controversial opinion:

There's "a difference between 5-year-olds and 15-year-olds" when you're 18.

There is not "a difference between 5-year-olds and 15-year-olds" when you're 35.
Megyn Kelly: "I know somebody very close to this case…Jeffrey Epstein, in this person's view, was not a pedophile…He was into the barely legal type, like he liked 15 year old girls…He wasn't into like 8 year olds…There's a difference between a 15 year old and a 5 year old."

Anybody else ever think about the intersection of "people who think it's cute to talk about threatening your teenage daughters prom date with a shotgun" and "people who think it's OK for grown adult men to have sex with* 15-year-old girls?"

We told y'all that THIS was the third tine of the fork when they tried to pull back on child labor laws and age of adulthood in court.

It's about abusing children--via capitalism, the prison system, and rape.
15 IS NOT "BARELY LEGAL," IT IS UNDERAGE.

15 IS A /CHILD/.

The indisputable facts of the matter are that Democrats made the tough choice to compromise so that seniors, children and disabled Americans could resume getting food stamps.

Republicans went to the Supreme Court in order to keep starving them.

That is the messaging we should focus on imo.

"Optics are everything" is true and it shouldn't be and it will forever piss me off that it is.
Americans react to the Epstein emails:

"That guy, he is in it, and we should have all of the information out... They're opening the can of worms. The worms are crawling all over the place... You just have to be honest, and I hope we're getting honesty."

There's a lot of resistance to the idea that as long as you are dealing with people living in a society, you are going to need *some* kind of a police force etc.

Because the alternatives are vigilantism, or gangsterism.

No, you didn't.

But if you did: name them. Let's see.

Meanwhile, here's an example of the horrendous things found in Hillary Clinton's emails—the only story worth covering for any serious news outlet in 2016, apparently.

This email is also regarding a child who suffered abuse from a grown man.

I actually canceled my New York Times subscription years ago over an article that was permissive towards the idea of having sex with teenagers and I don't even remember which article it was, but looking back boy I had no idea how deep that went

Every time someone highlights a new e-mail and I try to figure out what this functionally illiterate pos was trying to say I feel like I'm low-key having a stroke.
What do we make of this email, sent from Epstein to himself a week before he was arrested with the subject line “List for Bannon Steve” with just a list of names.
